The Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve in Costa Rica is a unique, fascinating environment. Exploring the trails, immersed in mist, one encounters species of plants and animals found nowhere else on earth. Cloud Forest is a brief memory of my experience along these paths, surrounded by ferns, vines, mosses and orchids. There is a special timelessness, a stillness both serene and yet vaguely ominous which envelops you. One never knows when the tranquility will be suddenly interrupted by a Jaguar, a Resplendent Quetzal, or a Three-wattled Bellbird.
