Composed in the summer of 2005, "Imagine all the People" was inspired by the music and unique character of John Lennon, whose 65th birthday would have been celebrated in October 2005. In memory of his joyful spirit, this work, based loosely on motivic material from his song "Imagine," brings together many disparate voices in affirmation of Lennon's strong commitment to world peace.
